And no, once again, they did not release the names of the companies. That would be, you know, embarrassing.

Murphy’s law

Murphy’s law. . I have a project in Austin today. I thought I might get an audition for a commercial in Austin tomorrow. so I prepared to stay overnight in case they wanted to see me. I packed my car with suits, ties, khakis and other slacks, blue jeans, dress shirts, button downs, polo shirts, t-shirts, sweatsuit, gym shorts, dress shoes, casual shoes, athletic shoes.
I packed everything into the car except…my cowboy boots. What do they want me to audition for…a cowboy.

Glispa Global Group — the mobile adtech company — has made its fourth acquisition in 12 months

Glispa Global Group — the mobile adtech company — has made its fourth acquisition in 12 months. Today’s target? RelevanTech, a Tel Aviv-based carrier distribution network.
Check out the story on VentureBeat…
"The acquisition of RelevanTech marks another step towards a rounded adtech offering from Glispa. In the last year, its monetization solutions received a boost through the purchase of native programmatic exchange Avocarrot. Acquiring MoneyTap allowed Glispa to create its native monetization platform, Ampiri. And it also recently added Brazilian mobile advertising company MOBILS to its roster, improving its presence in Latin America."

Friends — Please lend your support to this urgent action from the News Guild about the serious, deleterious impending staff cuts at The New York Times. It takes only a minute:
Folks,
My apologies for intruding on holiday weekend. But we can really use your help with family, friends and colleagues.
We would like to flood The New York Times’ Reader Center bulletin board with questions regarding staff cuts.
So while you are around the barbecue and enjoying the Fourth, please tell your friends, family, neighbors, fellow activists and readers that Dean Baquet, the executive editor of The New York Times, wants to hear your questions. Ask him about jobs. We are more than 1,000 strong, and he has required more than 10% of our members to reapply for their jobs:
https://www.nytimes.com/…/30/reader-cen…/bulletin-board.html
Our demands are simple: WE WANT MORE JOBS and to retain the members with institutional knowledge of the NYT brand – who ARE the heartbeat of the Times. WE WANT RESPECT for our members in this devalued process. Please rewrite, using our messaging below, rather than copying/pasting a version of this on our behalf if you, your family and friends or any readers are so willing and question him:
Dear Mr. Baquet,
I believe the quality of The Times will suffer with the loss of so many valuable editors. Embarrassing and serious mistakes get into the paper even now, and in such a sensitive political climate, with fewer news organizations willing to invest in real journalism, The Times should be adding editors not paring them down.
If you are cutting the number of copy editors by half, reducing the layers of editing, and forcing the editors who remain to essentially double their work duties, how can you possibly justify your commitment to high standards and accuracy? Please scale back your planned cuts or even retain all the valuable editors you have. It makes no sense to thin out your defenses when the truth is under attack.
We ask that you send your message to Dean using your personal email address rather than your work address. We want this influx of questions to appear grassroots driven — not as a NewsGuild campaign.
In Unity and most grateful for your support,
Grant Glickson,
President of the NewsGuild of New York
However, if these places are too familiar to you, let’s take Thailand tours to make your trip more exciting.

I don’t usually post health issues on FB, sensing that everyone has enough problems, but I’ve had a

myanmar itinerary 5 days starting last night . I suspect another round of Lyme, but this one is so intense, feels like a bad drug trip. Agitated , freezing. Scared. Been on doxycycline since last night . My temperature has just gone down a little .Going to the doc in about an hour. Send good thoughts if you can . Thanks. Erica
