Everyone keeps talking about what Pres

Everyone keeps talking about what Pres. Elect Trump says. Some love his rhetoric, others hate it, and many seem indifferent to it. The thing is, no one seems to be changing their minds about whether they like or hate how Trump speaks.
I’m looking forward to the inauguration in the (probably vain) hope that we will be able to start focusing on his actions and their results. I hope people will be willing to change their minds in either direction if his actions merit it.

  1. I’d say that’s probably optimistic to the point of foolishness. We live in a world where people go to http://www.I‘mRight.com, look up whatever agrees with their preconceived notions, and ignore anything that challenges them. Each person’s beliefs are now a walled garden filled only with that which soothes the ego.

It’d be great if people do learn to think objectively, but I see it going in the other direction.

    1. I think it is very optimistic to hope that people who hate him recognize the good that he does. I don’t think it’s all that optimistic to expect everyone to hate him if he makes certain kinds of mistakes. After all, the country reached near unanimity by the time W. Bush left office. What were his approval ratings? Mid-teens? Point is, I think it’s easier to move from love to hate than from hate to love.
