In case you were wondering why I don’t write more foodie travel stories…
Those of you who know me will be surprised to see I tried making some banana bran muffins today. Those of you who know me “really” well won’t be surprised to hear these are inedible. Turns out the recipe calls for 1/4 tsp of baking soda, not 4 tsp. Anyone want me to write a foodie travel story for you now?
Go ahead and laugh… I still am!

  1. Well nice try yesterday I made banana bread doubled bananas required not sure how it will taste. I didn’t realize the mistake until baking.

  2. Using up a ripened banana, were you? Banana Muffins are an Anne McGinn staple I’m sure based on a Graham “use up everything” moto! (I don’t cook/bake either – but sure wish I knew how to make Grandma Graham’s rolls though!)

  3. Like the time my mom made trifle for Christmas and read the recipe as 2 – 3 cups of sherry instead of 2/3 of a cup. Best trifle ever!

  4. Haha, Happens to the best of us Janie. One of my earliest baking memories was adding a cup of vanilla not a tsp to the family fav apple pudding. 🙂

    1. And you’re a pro… that makes me feel better! I was thinking of you when this happened and wishing you weren’t so far away in New Zealand! Actually, I was wishing I was down there too. 🙂
